2428 Scottwood was constructed in 1910. It was the home of William Bolles and his wife Caroline (Palmer) Bolles.  Laura Phillips was their domestic.  In 1911 Mr. Bolles founded Troop 3 of the Boy Scouts which met in a log cabin room he had built on the first floor of this home.  By 1918 the Howard Lewis family lived here.  Mr. Lewis' autobiography may be read in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 3 on page 640.  His photo appeared in the 1926 copy of the Toledo Bar & Bench.
