2265 Scottwood was built around 1912 with the plans (#1762) being furnished by the architectural firm of Mills, Rheinfrank & Bellman. The 1918 Polk City Directory listed Mary Schroeder, the widow of Casper Schroeder and the vice-president of the C. H. Schroeder Company.  In 1921 her live-in domestic was Katherine Buegel.
